The Talmud

The Talmud is a record of Jewish law dating back to 200 AD. It is composed of the Mishnah, a written record of holy law; and the later part, the Gemara, a commentary on the Mishnah as well as the Tanakh (the Hebrew acronym referring to the Old Testament).
